The Walled Kitchen Garden

“A Northamptonshire idyll, the product of three of the most influential garden- makers of the past century”
Country Life Magazine

The garden’s secret heart is a triangular walled kitchen garden.

Warm brick walls encompass a nearly 2 acre space that’s slowly making its way back into cultivation with swathes of cut flowers grown to decorate the hall and traditional beds of edibles harking back to this ground’s productive past.

A Big Lottery grant means we have launched an exciting new project ‘Growing Kelmarsh’ that enables more volunteers, children and visitors to learn more about food and growing your own.

We sell the produce through our open season and also have free, open-air cookery demonstrations to inspire you all!
