The Kelmarsh Blog

A wander down the tree-lined driveway at Kelmarsh Hall is a sight to behold at the moment, as hundreds of snakes-head fritillaries have burst into life. The display is one of the best ever seen by staff, who are encouraging visitors to make sure they stop by so as not to miss this impressive spectacle. This year's show has been attributed to the fact that grass cuttings were not collected this year, which allowed the seeds to germinate to a greater extent.
The Grade II* listed gardens also include a historic walled kitchen garden, rose garden, double border, sunken garden and woodland walk. The gardens and tea room are open from 11am to 5pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. For full details of opening times and admission prices, click here.
